Sheri Elizabeth Willis

Sheri Elizabeth Willis, age 53, of Hillsboro, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, following a long and courageous battle with cancer since 2019.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida on March 5, 1968, Sheri had devoted her life to being a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a born-again Christian who loved her Lord, Jesus Christ, and had attended church since 2015, at Restoration Fellowship Church of God of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  Sheri loved traveling with her family, her favorite trip to date, being when her entire family went to Disney World in 2001 and she patiently waited each year for her annual “Daddy & Daughter” trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. She was an animal lover, known for giving the best hugs, enjoyed window shopping and loved kayaking or any activity near the water. Sheri was a fierce, determined, loyal soul who will be missed dearly by her loving family and friends.

Sheri is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Nephi and Leila Brown; maternal grandmother, Marion McCreary; mother-in-law, Helen Marie Willis and beloved dog, Molly.

She is survived by her parents, Larry (Jackie) Brown and “Sue” (Trevis) Griggs; her loving husband of twenty one years, Dudley Willis; one son, Jarrod (Dominique) Brown; three daughters, Shaina Phillips, Shawnee Willis and Cheyenne (Lance) Booker; five sisters, Tammie (Mike) Hulett, Debbie (Terry) Hendrix, Laura (Allen) Rogers, Julie Newsome and Brandi (Ted) Bluemel; four grandchildren, Tristyn, Tatum, Ryder and Isabella; and one very special “grand-Bunny”, Ollie.

No services are scheduled at this time, however the family plans to hold a Celebration of Life Memorial, to be announced in the near future.
