Obituary
Mrs. Ruth Joy Jernigan ,age 92, of Manchester, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 20th, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Jernigan was born December 15th, 1930, in Cannon County, Tennessee, to the late Mr. Morgan P. Caffy and Mrs. Fannie B. Caffy (Carter).
Ruth has been a resident of Manchester since 1999. She was a member if Main Street Church of Christ
In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Lee R. Jernigan and her brother, Frank Caffy.
She is survived by her son, Ricky Jernigan (Faye); grandchildren, Morgan B. Jernigan (Crystal) and Terri Zapotocky (Mike); great grandchildren, Lane Jernigan, Kinsley Perry (Brian), Mercedes Jernigan, Amira Jernigan, Armani Jernigan, Brendon Jernigan, Ava Hopper, and Keyanna Rice; and niece, Martha Hopkins.
Visitation for Mrs. Jernigan will be held at Coffee County Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, August 22nd, from 5:00pm till 8:00pm. A graveside service will take place the following day on Wednesday August 23rd at 11:00am, at Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro, TN.
