Richard Hall Aldrige, age 89, of Manchester passed this life February 3, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born February 25, 1934 in Beechgrove, TN to the late James and Ora (Williams) Aldridge. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, James Elmer Aldridge, Claude “Dink” Aldridge, Carrie Aldridge, Martha Coley, Joyce Brooks, and Evelyn Amos. Richard formerly worked with the Manchester Rescue Squad, Civil Defense, and was a former Reserve Deputy. He served his country in the United States Army and was a longtime member of Our Father’s House Pentecostal Church in Cowan, TN. Richard loved fishing, working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a good standing member of the Tennessee Sheriffs Association.
Richard is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Daniel) Aldridge; daughter, Christy Marshall (Gregory); grandchildren, Lora Kimmons and Miles Kimmons; great grandchildren, Emily Russell (Richard), Nicholas Brewer, Elijah Brewer, Brooklyn Brewer, Jayden Neil, Gavin Kimmons, Jessie Marshall, Timothy Marshall, Brianna Marshall, Malachi Thompson, and Hollis Coker; and great Grandchildren, Roen and Solomon.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 8th at Blanton’s Chapel Cemetery with Brother Danny Anderson officiating.
