Linda Marie Hughes

Linda Marie Hughes, age 82, of Hillsboro, Tennessee, passed away in the comfort of her home and surrounded by loved ones, on Sunday, May 8, 2022.

Born in Bedford County, Tennessee, to the late Albert and Mary Lou Nelson, Linda devoted her life to being a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was a chicken farmer for Tyson Foods for over a decade and a member of Prairie Plains Baptist Church of Hillsboro, Tennessee. A simple and playful lady, Linda enjoyed socializing, fishing, gardening and working puzzles. Linda will be missed dearly by her loving family and friends.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-two years, Clifton Hughes; two sisters, Lucille Nelson and Elaine Brannon; one granddaughter, Lori Lovvorn; and one great granddaughter, Ashlyn Floyd.

Survivors include one son, Wayne (Marilyn) Pruitt; two daughters, Donna (Dillard “Mayor”) Davidson and Lesa (Steve) Lovvorn; twelve grandchildren, Michael (April) Floyd, Stacey Lamb, Steve (Jessica Meeks) Lovvorn, Jr., Angela (Mickey) Bogle, Tisha Lovvorn, Wayne (Amber) Lovvorn, Misty (Terry) Bryan, Clifton Pruitt, Shannon Adkins, Tami Henderson, Christopher Pritchett and Michael Pritchett; thirty one great grandchildren; fourteen great- great grandchildren; and loyal and faithful companion, Beloved Dog, Fancy.

Funeral Services will be held at Coffee County Funeral Chapel, on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 2PM, with Bro. Eddie Miller officiating.

Visitation will be held, at the funeral home, from 11AM until time of service.

Interment to immediately follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
