Lawrence Worden Sherrick, age 75, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away following a long-term illness on Sunday, April 3, 2022.
Born in Massachusetts, on February 20, 1947, Lawrence chose to be a “loner”, with long hair and beard, but inside he had a sweet, soft, reserved soul. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. Also described as “one with nature”, he loved being outdoors, going to the mountains and sleeping outside, just about anywhere. Lawrence enjoyed riding his beloved Harley Davidson Trike and having a McDonalds Strawberry Milkshake. Lawrence will surely be missed.
Preceding him in death are his father, Fred Sherrick, Sr.; mother, Charlotte J. Towne; three sisters, Charlene Charest, Shirley E. Sherrick and Patricia “Pat” Sherrick; two brothers, Robert “Bobby” Sherrick and Fred “Freddie” Sherrick; and best friend, Scott Kinard.
Survivors include special friends and neighbors, Marion “Petie” Kinard and Shanna (Allen) Sturgill; ex- wife, Joyce Sherrick; one daughter, Lisa Sherrick; three brothers, Raymond Sherrick, Bernard “Buzzy” Sherrick and William “Billy” Sherrick; and four sisters, June M. (Bobby) Angell-Goss, Nancy (Steven) Lee, Wendy Sherrick and Sharon (Phil) Rauls.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Coffee County Funeral Chapel is honored to be assisting with the arrangements.
