Justin Terry Goodwin

Justin Goodwin, age 71 of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023. 

Justin was born in Bedford County on March 9, 1952 to the late James Marion Goodwin and Callie Stone Grubbs Goodwin. Justin loved his three girls endlessly. Justin dedicated over half his life to coaching and mentoring ladies at the Manchester softball fields. Having Justin as a coach was the highlight of many girls softball careers. If Justin wasn’t at the ball fields, he was traveling cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events, whether it be 30 minutes away or 3 hours away.  After retiring with 45+ years from Batesville Casket Company, Justin would most likely be found driving the four lanes with his four-legged kids, Regal and Tonka or eating at Emma’s Family Restaurant. Justin was a hardworking, humble, and energetic man who loved and cared for so many. Justin was a man of few words, but a man who knew how powerful just a few words could be. To be loved by Justin was truly a gift. 

Justin is survived by his three daughters, Tina (Michael) Daniel, Callie (Kyle) Millaway, Amy (Chris) Slater; five grandchildren, Zachary (Bridget) Slater, Zane (Ali) Slater, Catelyn Millaway, Kylie Millaway, Parker Daniel; great granddaughter, Hollis Rae Slater and another on the way; four sisters; Alice Grant, Linda (Jerry) Smith, Shirley Regan, Joanne Wilhoit; two brothers; Robert (Gail) Goodwin, Jim (Sue) Goodwin; Mother of his daughters, Becky Reed; several nieces and nephews; many family friends; his two best-friends, Regal and Tonka; and a special friend, Helen Darden. 

Visitation will be held at Coffee County Funeral Chapel on Thursday, November 16th, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 17th, 2023. Burial will be at Blanton Chapel Cemetery following funeral services.
