Huston D Mayernik

Huston D. Mayernik, age 89, of Manchester, TN, passed away on November 6th, 2023 at Unity Medical Center.  He was born in Pascola, Missouri on May 22nd, 1934 to his parents, Michael and Hester Mayernik.

Huston is survived by his loving wife and companion of 48 years Karen Sue Mayernik, his sister, Ima, his children, Michael (Kim) Marcoulier, Katherine (Jeffrey) Barnes, Russell Marcoulier, Gina (Fred) Kasper, Kathleen (Mark) Dashley, 31 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Landon, and Sisters Louise and Mary.

His wit, grit, love and devotion have left an indelible mark on all that knew him.  An avid outdoorsman and father figure/mentor to countless people.  He loved John Wayne, old country and western movies and music, and most of all his family and friends.  He will always be remembered for his ingenuity, humor, storytelling, and natural ability to fix anything.  John Wayne would be proud.

A celebration of life is going to be held at Bell Buckle United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the cancer society of your choice in honor of Huston.
