Graveside services for Mrs. Hazel Bernice Davis, age 94 of Manchester, will be conducted on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 1PM at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. In the event of rain, the service will be conducted at Coffee County Funeral Chapel, with burial immediately following. Mrs. Davis passed away on Sunday, October 24 at her home after an extended illness.
Mrs. Davis was born on December 4, 1926, in Garvin, OK, to the late Claude and Mildred Allen Scott. She was married to the late Keith Davis for over 40 years. During Mr. Davis’s time in the military, the family travelled extensively throughout the United States and abroad. During this time, Mrs. Davis was not only a housewife and homemaker, she was also a mother of five children, and always worked outside the home to provide for her family. When she began working, Mrs. Davis started out as a bookkeeper, but upon her retirement, she was the chief accountant at Morris & Knudsen project in Tullahoma, TN. She enjoyed reading, quilting, knitting, and cooking. After her retirement, Mrs. Davis loved to travel, especially to visit her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, and her husband, Keith, Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by three brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her children, Keith Davis and his wife, Jennifer of AL, Ray Morren and his wife, Lisa of Murfreesboro,TN, Paul Morren of TX, Jimmie Sue Antwine and her husband, Tommy of OK, and Claudia King and her husband, Wayne of GA; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
