Freida H. Davis

Freida H. Davis, age 89, of Manchester, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021, while surrounded by her loved ones.

 Born December 16, 1931, in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee to the late Tom and Ersa Vaughn, Freida had devoted her life to being a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was the valedictorian of The Red Boiling Springs Class of 1949, who enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for her family and friends and quilting in her spare time. She was a twenty year member of Pocahontas Church of Christ of Manchester, Tennessee.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband of fifty- nine years, Joseph Hagar and one brother, Harold Vaughn.

Survivors include her husband of eleven years, Vernon Davis; three daughters, Debra (Rich) Stregowski, Pamela (Hill) Burkett and Gloria (Gary) Tuttle; eight grandchildren, “Tony” (Jean) Lazenby, Danny (Jackie) Lazenby, Thomas (Sheena) Lazenby, Jason Burkett, Kelsy (Joe) Jackson, Casey (Sherissa) Tuttle, Corey (Hannah) Tuttle and Colin Tuttle; and eleven great grandchildren, Chris, Stephen, Joe, Brayden, Taylor, Rollins, Amelia, Juliette, Harper, Drew and Johannah.

Graveside services will be conducted at Forest Mill Cemetery in Manchester, Tennessee on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11AM with “Tony” Lazenby officiating.
