Donald “Don” Walter Fischer, age 83, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away in the comfort of his home, on Sunday, March 6, 2022.
Born in Adams County, Wisconsin, on May 12, 1938, to the late Walter and Lela May Fischer, “Don” devoted his life to being a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. I forty-five-year retiree from Falk Company as a draftsman, “Don” was a workaholic, in his younger years, but still was able to balance his family life. “Don” never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. After retirement, “Don” enjoyed camping, outdoors and socializing with his neighbors daily. “Don” will surely be missed by his family, friends and KOA neighbors.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Judith Bera- Fischer.
Survivors include two sons, Brian (Sherri) Fischer and Terry Fischer; two daughters, Dawn (Mills) Landreth and Cindy Fischer; four grandchildren, Paul Anderson, William (Jennifer) Anderson, Lela Fischer- Soehner and Megan Fischer- Soehner; and one great grandchild, Cannon Anderson.
No services are scheduled at this time, however the family plans to hold a Celebration of Life Service, to be announced, in the near future.
