Life Legacy
Funeral services for Georgia Fletcher Berens, age 85, a resident of Manchester will be conducted Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00-9:00 P M at the funeral home.
Mrs. Berens passed away Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. She was born November 18, 1924 in Franklin County, TN the daughter of the late Alick Andrew Riddle and Leonia Nancy Click Riddle. She was a homemaker and in earlier years was employed with Malinko as a factory worker. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband and the father of her children, Oscar Fletcher who passed away in 1970 and her second husband, Roy Berens. She is also preceded in death by five brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include her three sons and daughters-in-law, Don L. Fletcher and wife, Donna of Manchester, Larry G. Fletcher and wife, Mary Ellen of Tinley Park, IL, and Randell L. Fletcher and wife, Brenda Sue of Midlothian, IL; eight grandchildren, Don Fletcher, JR., Mark Fletcher, Stephen “B.R.” Fletcher, Lisa Ann Dunn, John Larry Fletcher, Amy S. Skuturna, Travis L. Fletcher and Ryan L. Fletcher; sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Olla Ruth Hillis of Tullahoma, TN and Edith Puckett of Opp, AL and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
