Joyce (Aldridge) Anderson

Joyce (Aldridge) Anderson, age 78 of Beech Grove passed away Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, at Unity Medical Center, Manchester, Tennessee. Cremation rights were accorded through Coffee County Funeral Chapel.

Joyce was born January 3rd, 1946, In Bardstown, Kentucky, the daughter of Aaron and Mary Ann (Mattingly) Aldridge.

Joyce worked as a Nurse throughout Northern Illinois and Tennessee and was also a Licensed substance abuse counselor prior to her retirement in the late 1990’s.

Joyce loved fast cars, Loud Music, working in her yard, sitting on her porch, spending time with family and friends and her yearly flock of hummingbirds.  She always loved a good hearty Laugh.

She is survived by her son; Jonathan (Travis) Anderson of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Daughter; Jacalynn (Tim) Bowes of Aiken, South Carolina.  5 Grandchildren; Isaac Anderson of Beech Grove, Tennessee, Raeanne Anderson of Springfield, Ohio, Nathan Anderson of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Thomas (Laura) Doty of Naperville, Illinois, Jacob Doty of Woodbridge, Illinois.

 2 Sisters; Rose Cooper of Nashville, Tennessee, Ruth Mussleman of Bradenton, Florida. 2 Brothers; David (Janet) Aldridge of Rock Falls, Illinois and Richard (Judi) Aldridge of Seneca, Illinois. Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in in death by her mother; Mary Stevens, father; Aaron Aldridge, stepfather; Garnet Stevens, 2 Brothers; Pastor Joseph Aldridge, Charles Aldridge. 2 Nephews; Edward Aldridge and Steven Ledesma.

She is and will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life gathering will be held in her honor at Lakewood Park Community Center in Beech Grove, Tennessee on April 27th from 2 to 5p.
